If you suspect a hearing loss, the first step is to make an appointment with a hearing health care professional for proper testing and evaluation. Testing is conducted in a sound booth for accuracy of results and is painless, comfortable and safe. It includes checking your ability to recognize everyday words at different volume levels, and to determine how well you hear various tones that are important to understanding speech.
Do you notice that you are "favoring" one ear over the other?
Do you find yourself asking others to repeat themselves?
Do people seem to mumble, making it hard for you to understand them?
Do you have problems understanding certain women's and children's voices?
Do you have difficulty following conversations while riding in the car?
Do you turn up the volume on the TV, radio or stereo?
Do you find it difficult to follow conversations in a crowded room?
Do you want - or need - to sit closer to the front in church, theaters, or auditoriums?
If you checked one or more of the above boxes you may have hearing loss. We urge to you contact our office for a consultation.
